rBOOST
PET Chain Extender
by
Developed to increase the intrinsic viscosity (I.V.) of rPET allowing for inclusion of a higher rate of recycled material and to maintain the I.V. of virgin PET after numerous passes. While maintaining clarity, Polyvel’s rBOOST PET Chain Extender will also reduce the yellowness index of rPET while imparting higher impact and melt strength and offering better processability.
Antioxidants
Stabilizers designed to protect recycled polyolefins and rPET from excessive degradation, such as gel formations and yellowing. Antioxidants protect mechanical and optical properties of packaging, thereby enabling higher incorporation of PIR and PCR content.
Ultraviolet Stabilizers
These additives can improve shelf life, reduce plate-out in films or on machinery, and lessen interference with seals, print, and laminations. Innovative technology allows for use in thinner films and provides broad UV absorbance coverage with lower loadings and longer-lasting performance.
Nucleating Agents
Nucleating agents improve processing speed, dimensional stability, and physical properties in molded or extruded products. In standard injection, gas injection and chemical foaming applications, nucleating agents improve dimensional stability and density.
PLA Masterbatches
PLA (polylactic acid) resin is a compostable polymer that supports sustainability efforts. Polyvel is a leading manufacturer of PLA masterbatches in a dry, easy-to-handle pellet. PLA is used in numerous processes, including extruded foam, cast or blown film, sheet extrusion, and injection molding.
PLA Processing Aid
This biodegradable, FDA Approved, PLA Processing Aid was developed to maintain clarity and enhance the melt strength of PLA without increasing the melt viscosity effectively allowing for increased output rates.
Process Aids
Process aids are designed to eliminate melt-fracture and "shark skin", minimize die build-up, reduce extrusion back pressure, reduce gels and waste, increase uptime, and improve productivity.
