Polyvel Hydrophobic Concentrate VH102 Water Absorptive Test
Hydrophobic concentrate for non-woven polypropylene fiber applications
Water Absorptive Test
A section of fiber sheet is submerged into a beaker of water.
The resulting water pickup is measured as the % increase in
weight of the fabric compared to the original dry weight of the fabric.
A low absorptive capacity of the sample equates improved hydrophobic properties of the fiber used.

| This graph shows how significantly Polyvel VH102 concentrate reduces water pickup in an 800 MFR polypropylene non-woven fiber. |

**The weight of the sample with
water absorbed into it as compared to the dry weight of the same
material. This is measured as a multiple of dry weight (ex: the control
sample weighed 7.1 times its dry weight when removed from the beaker of
water).
