Polyvel RM70 contains 70% active Molybdenum Disulfide in a free flowing dustless pellet form.

RM70 is formulated using a nylon copolymer carrier resin that is compatible with both Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6. RM70 has been specifically developed for use in Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6 compounding and injection molding applications. RM70 functions as a nucleating agent in the Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6, giving the Nylon parts a very fine crystalline structure.

Through this change in the normal amorphous structure of the Nylon, the heat distortion temperature of the Nylon increases by as much as 50° F. Increasing the heat distortion temperature provides bearing and wear resistance properties far superior to unmodified Nylon.

Polyvel RM70 functions well as an internally lubricating additive when incorporated during the injection molding of Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6. RM70 functions to reduce or eliminate mold drag during molding of the Nylon.

RM70 also functions very well as a mold release aid for Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6 molded parts. The incorporation of RM70 into a molded Nylon 6 or Nylon 6/6 part adds internal lubrication properties to the parts. This results in ease of post molding component assembly and the creation of self-lubricating parts (ex: Nylon gears and chains).
