HD-L01 was developed to improve the impact toughness of polylactic acid (PLA). It is recommended for use in opaque applications where transparency is not an issue. Typical use levels range from 5.0 – 10.0%_weight and the additive can be processed in the same conditions as PLA resin, as PLA is the carrier for this system.

Polyvel’s HD-L02 is an impact modifier masterbatch for PLA that increase the physical properties of PLA while maintaining clarity. Furthermore, the raw materials in this masterbatch are approved for food contact applications.

Typical benefits of using HD-L01 & HD-L02 are:

·        Excellent dispersion

·        Convenient use: mix HD-L01 pellets with PLA pellets or feed separately

·        Dry, easy to handle pellet form
