Improve Performance with Polyvel’s New Peroxide Masterbatches
Polyvel Inc announces a line of free flowing, pelletized peroxide masterbatches for crosslinking polyethylene. This PCL series is easier and safer to use than alkyl peroxide powders and liquids and eliminates “bridging” seen with powders, more accurate dosing leads to more reliable properties. When these masterbatches are let down into polyethylene, through extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, or rotational molding, the plastic exhibits greater melt strength, tensile, flexural, and impact strength. Part thickness and weight can be decreased while existing properties are maintained. Longer shelf is another advantage of peroxide masterbatches, as they retain their properties longer than liquids and powders. Polyvel offers several peroxide chemistries, at 1% to 40% loading, in resins compatible with your applications.

Laser Markings Facilitated with New Additive Masterbatch
Polyvel Inc announces laser additive masterbatches for PE, PP, TPU, PC, PET, PBT and PVC applications. Plastic parts can be laser marked using fast YAG laser technologies until now only suitable for markings on metal. These masterbatches are used in a polymer, through extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, or rotational molding. Examples of applications for laser markings on plastics are electrical, bottle caps, labels, and packaging.

Polyvel’s HP-N01 Plasticizer for Nylon Simplifies Production
Polyvel Inc announces a pelletized plasticizer masterbatch for compounding into nylon 6. HP-N01 is 40% N-butyl benzene sulfonamide in nylon 6 resin. HP-N01 pellets are easily blended or co-metered with nylon pellets into an extruder. The pelletized product eliminates handling and exposure problems with this volatile liquid.

Polyvel Introduces VF152 Antifog for PE Film Applications
Polyvel Inc., recognized as a leader in antifog masterbatches for polyolefin food packaging, has announced the second generation product VF152 for hot and cold coex or monolayer LDPE film applications. VF152 begins to work faster than previous versions. It is more efficient in reducing condensation, resulting in a clearer, more transparent film. VF152 is 20% active and typically only requires a 3% to 4% letdown, making it an extremely cost effective choice.
